The Nonprofit Technology Enterprise Network (NTEN) is an organization aiming to create a positive community for nonprofits and individuals interested in the use of technology to support nonprofit organizations or other causes. NTEN has been described by Nonprofit Quarterly as “one of the more recent and potentially powerful networks evolving in the nonprofit technology-assistance scene” for their ability to provide forums for people involved in nonprofit technology, act as a conduit connecting journalists and researchers with nonprofit technology practitioners, and make technology information and resources available to organizations.
Each year, NTEN hosts an international conference that brings together nonprofit organizations, IT staff, consultants, and technology vendors. This March, their annual conference was held in Portland, Oregon, and Cause Inspired Media was fortunate enough to attend.
This year, Cause Inspired Media partnered with Google at NTEN 2019 to provide extensive support to nonprofits. Along with a few other members of the Certified Professionals Community, Cause Inspired Media met with NTEN attendees in 1 on 1 sessions to help with their digital marketing strategy, analytics tracking, understanding their particular digital funnel, Google Ad Grant reactivation, and more. In addition to 1 on 1 sessions, Cause Inspired Media also participated in “birds of a feather” round table discussions about the state of the digital marketing industry for nonprofits, and the Google Ad Grant in particular.
While we provided insight and support to the many nonprofits in attendance, the experience was also incredibly inspiring for our Cause Inspired team, as we were working with many organizations at the top of their industries. We hope to attend again in the future and make an even bigger impact.
